HER MAJESTY’S LORD-LIEUTENANT OF GREATER LONDON

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Mr Kenneth Olisa OBE FBCS FRSA as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London to succeed Sir David Brewer CVO CMG when he retires on 28 May 2015.

Commenting on the appointment, Ken Olisa said:

“I am honoured by this unexpected but deeply humbling appointment. The role of London’s Lord-Lieutenant is an extremely active one and one that can make a positive impact on the lives of many, as demonstrated by my esteemed predecessor – Sir David Brewer. As Lord-Lieutenant, I will be proud to represent Her Majesty and the Crown in all of my official duties, but I am also keen to bring to the role my twin passions of social inclusion and entrepreneurship for the benefit of those who live and work in our great capital city.”

VTC Launch, Rt Hon Francis Maude MP Supports Lockheed Martins Virtual Technology Cluster at official launch

Ken also spoke at the launch of the Lockheed Martin Virtual Technology Cluster at their NexGen Cyber Innovation and Technology centre in Farnborough last week, alongside Francis Maude, Minister for the Cabinet Office with responsibility for the Cyber Security Strategy and National Cyber Security Programme.

This successful launch provided an ideal opportunity for all existing and potential members of the cluster to network and share thoughts and ideas.
